The internal debate of whether to ink or not to ink continued to rattle around in my noggin until an article from NMSS helped me solidify my decision. My thinking twice has ended.

I call BS.
I had 1 tat before my ms, made another 6 months into Rebif. I like it. My 2nd tat is my own sunshine.
By just believing what clueless people without ms say, you are just creating your own shadows.
I’ll spare everyone my opinions on MDs and their opinions on tattoos. Let’s just say it has been shown that your tat would have to be to be inked in pure iron to get any kind of reaction. Even old school tats which do contain more metal than modern tats, don’t react. Heck, they even featured it on MythBusters!
Mine ( on my spine) has gone through the MRI more times than I care to remember (I also have MS)and it has never shown up on my MRIs or got tingly, warm or so much as itched.
Had 1 before MS, made another 8 months into Rebif 44.
I agree with lol. I call BS. Theory is “oh so fine” on nice PDFs. Real life is another deal.
My Dr. advised against me getting a tattoo because of my immune system.. I have MS and I’m on Tysabri. How would a tattoo effect my immune system?… I’m 20 and really want a tattoo!!! I know that if the Dr. said I shouldn’t then there are risks but I was wondering what the risks are and how severe?
My Doc told me the same thing on Tysabri. I think it may just be because of the makeup of the drug.
I got my first tattoo before I was diagnosed with MS in 2001. I’ve never had an issue with it during an MRI nor was I turned away from an MS Stress Study because of it. I’m planning on getting a second tattoo in the next couple of weeks.
so i have MS on the Rebif 44 just got my 3rd tat 1st with MS and its a big one on my back/spine, its been warm had some extra tingle but nothin i am worried about, its a nice release of tention for me. Make your own sunshine
